We are hiring an Information Technology Service Desk Representative to support our internal employees and offices. This role is responsible for ensuring the tools our employees use run smoothly, empowering them to focus on our mission of providing world class software and customer support. This is a required hybrid work model, the incumbent will be expected to go into the Bangalore office, 2-3 days and work from home 1-2 days per week.

Day in the Life

  • Assist employees with computer hardware and software related issues
  • On-board new employees by procuring and shipping hardware on time
  • Collaborate with System Administrators on process improvements
  • Assist with asset management of new, returned, and disposed computer equipment
  • Assist in documenting, organizing, and communicating IT processes and standards
  • Work with vendors as required to troubleshoot and resolve issues and to manage upgrades
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work environment
  • Monitor the ticketing system and prioritizing issue troubleshooting and resolution
  • Support office systems including network and conference room audio visual equipment

Who You Are

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a technology support role
  • Organized and demonstrates strong task management and time management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Takes initiative; self-directed with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to identify needs, evaluate solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Proven ability to manage many simultaneous tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow through with tasks, projects, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and Mac OS
  • Basic knowledge of networking, wi-fi, and mobile devices
  • An exceptional ability to work well with others
  • You are a lifelong learner and passionate about learning new things and taking on new challenges

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Degreed is a remote-first company, however our roles are open to in-office or hybrid if you live in a city with a physical office location. This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our US and International colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
