We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinical operations and the delivery of excellent patient services.

How you will make an impact

Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Take vital signs, record patient information, and update medical records accurately.
Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures when necessary.
Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure that patient information is complete and up to date.
Assist in coding and billing procedures as required.
Greet patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
Answer patient inquiries and provide information on medical procedures and appointments.
Prepare and educate patients on any necessary pre-appointment instructions.
Collect blood samples and other specimens for laboratory testing.
Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens to maintain accuracy and integrity.
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate records of medication administration.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary clinical environment.
Sterilize medical instruments and equipment as needed.
Ensure that medical equipment is in proper working condition.
Manage inventory and restock medical supplies as necessary.

What we are looking for

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus.
Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Flexibility to work PRN hours, including evenings and weekends, based on facility needs.
CPR certification may be required.
This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.
PRN employees may be called in to work on short notice, and shifts may vary based on staffing needs.
The Medical Assistant PRN may need to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and move patients or equipment.
