The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be responsible for driving the commercial success of their products through market research, competitive insights, product positioning, product launch, buyer journey strategy, analyst relations, and customer advocacy. Your team will work closely with product management to ensure product-market fit, develop unique value propositions with clear competitive differentiation, and implement comprehensive product launch processes. You will collaborate with other marketing leaders to define and optimize an integrated campaign strategy that generates awareness and demand for our products. You will also work closely with sales leadership, sales enablement, and partner teams to build the training and tools for our direct and indirect sales channels to win new business.

This leadership role requires outstanding communication skills to develop core messaging, product collateral, solutions content, industry information, customer case studies, and more. As an industry SME, you will be expected to have deep knowledge of modern data analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence technologies to understand the market, key players, and emerging use-cases where they can succeed.

As a company evangelist, you will engage customers, partners, and industry influencers to market-test our messaging, promote our solutions, and stay informed on industry trends and market needs.

Finally, you will guide the programs and engagement tools required to build loyalty, advocacy, and public facing success stories with their customers.

This position is located at our headquarters in Tyson’s Corner, VA and requires the employee to work four days a week in the office (relocation assistance is available to qualified candidates).

Your Focus

  • Build an overall product marketing strategy, including product positioning, audience segmentation, ICP and persona definition, competitive strategy, and buyer journey strategy.
  • Guide and mentor a team of product marketers to effectively prioritize and support the needs of the organization, achieve departmental goals, and develop skills to continuously improve performance.
  • Work with Product Management to ensure product-market fit, develop product launch plans, and oversee launch roll-out.
  • Work with the Growth and Acquisition team to define and develop content and integrated campaigns that drive qualified leads and pipeline.
  • Work with Brand and Buzz team on awareness and thought leader programs, ensuring product communications are aligned with core messaging and company has a clear and compelling Point of View on industry issues.
  • Provide the Sales Enablement team with effective selling materials, including competitive battle cards, sales & marketing plays, customer presentations, and industry insights to ensure the field organization is well-equipped to engage, educate, and win.
  • Interface directly with customers, partners, and influencers to gain qualitative and quantitative data on market needs and opportunities, ensuring all stakeholders understand company's market position and unique value propositions.
  • Appear as a spokesperson for the company at conferences and other industry forums.
  • Work with the Customer Success team to define and implement a community strategy to engage customers, turn them into advocates, and build an ongoing pipeline of customer success stories.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, business, or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of product marketing experience in the high-tech industry, with a successful track record of bringing B2B SaaS solutions to market.
  • 10+ years of Leadership experience, managing a team, leading cross-functional, strategic initiatives, and effectively gaining the support of peers and executives across the organization.
  • High technical competency to fully understand and effectively communicate complex technologies, including business intelligence, augmented analytics, AI/ML, and cloud infrastructure; preference given to candidates with experience in these areas.
  • Experience with Pragmatic Framework for bringing B2B products to market, preferably Pragmatic-certified.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching new SaaS products to market for enterprise customers, targeting multiple executive, IT, and LOB stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for products, personas, and markets.
  • Experience in community management and building customer advocacy programs.
  • Ability to create clear, detailed plans and mobilize an organization to execute.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to company or customer offices and industry events, up to 25% of the time.
